HubSpot introduced a new tool called AEO on April 14, 2026, designed to enhance brand visibility within AI search results and address the ongoing decline in website traffic attributed to zero-click searches.
The global launch of HubSpot AEO aims to equip marketers with capabilities to measure brand presence across emerging AI search platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, where users often receive direct answers without visiting original source websites.
This phenomenon, known as ‘zero-click search,’ has led to reduced website traffic for many brands, even those with strong traditional search engine optimization (SEO) rankings, according to HubSpot.
The new AEO tool provides a unique AI visibility score, which tracks explicit mentions of a brand, monitors competitor mentions, and identifies areas where a brand is completely absent from AI-generated responses.
Unlike basic monitoring services, HubSpot AEO integrates directly with content creation tools and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
This integration allows the platform to offer actionable recommendations for improving AI visibility and includes features for publishing new content directly from the system.
A spokesperson for HubSpot said the tool automates the monitoring process, providing marketing teams with weekly updates and alerts, thereby reducing the manual effort typically required to track brand mentions across various AI sources.
The company said the initiative reflects a strategic effort to help brands adapt to the AI-driven search environment.
Search engines like Google have also begun integrating AI-generated summaries, further contributing to the shift in how users consume information online.
HubSpot’s AEO is positioned to help businesses regain and maintain their digital footprint in this changing digital ecosystem.
