Google announced global enhancements to its advertising measurement tools, including updates to Data Manager, the launch of Meridian GeoX for incrementality testing and Meridian Studio for marketing mix modeling.

These new open-source and enterprise solutions aim to provide advertisers with more robust, first-party data-driven and causally measured performance insights, according to the company.

Google Data Manager will receive a new visual summary feature, which includes a map view illustrating data flow from various platforms such as BigQuery, HubSpot and Shopify into Google Ads and Google Analytics.

The Data Manager API will also be updated to allow advertisers to combine foundational tags with additional data signals, including store sales. The Google tag itself will gain a visual setup flow, Google stated.

The company introduced Meridian GeoX, an open-source, geographic-based incrementality testing solution. Built on an auditable codebase, Meridian GeoX integrates directly with Meridian, Google said.

Meridian Studio, a new enterprise platform powered by Google Cloud, was also unveiled. This platform is designed to manage high-volume marketing mix models, offering customization options and richer access to data signals.

PJ McDonnell, a Google executive, said the company is committed to providing advertisers with tools that offer greater transparency and control over their measurement strategies.

Google cited partners including Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Cloud and Webflow for their collaboration in adopting the Google tag gateway, which the company reported led to an average of 14 percent more conversions.

Eight measurement partners were listed for their involvement with Meridian and Data Manager tools: Adswerve, Choreograph (WPP), Brainlabs, Epsilon, Fifty-Five, Jellyfish, Making Science and Merkle.

Google plans to share more comprehensive details about these updates and the ongoing evolution of Google Analytics at Google Marketing Live on May 20.
