OpenAI began a worldwide rollout of its new GPT-6 model and an Intelligent User Interface (UI) for ChatGPT on Tuesday, enhancing interactive responses with text, visuals, and integrated tools.

The update, which commenced for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers, will extend to Free and Go users starting Wednesday, the company said.

The Intelligent UI integrates text and visual elements with interactive features such as buttons, forms, charts, and custom tools, including calculators, bill splitters, and games, allowing users to create and utilize these tools directly within their conversations.

GPT-6 operates on different versions depending on the user’s plan; paid subscribers will utilize GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go users will access GPT-6 Luna.

OpenAI stated that GPT-6 can initiate answers and provide insights even while still processing or working with integrated tools. The company highlighted that GPT-6 Instant, designed for web searches, responds 44 percent faster on average than its predecessor, GPT-5.6 Instant.

The new update replaces the “Latest” option in ChatGPT’s model menu with GPT-6, though GPT-5.6 Sol will remain available as a distinct selection for users who prefer it.

This development marks a significant step in conversational AI, allowing for more dynamic and functional interactions beyond traditional text-based responses.
