Sedestral launched a new integration globally, enabling artificial intelligence assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to directly execute complex search engine optimization tasks through its specialized agents using the Model Context Protocol.
The move by Sedestral aims to automate SEO workflows by allowing AI models to move beyond data analysis and trigger specific actions, marking a significant step in the application of AI to digital marketing.
The Model Context Protocol, an open standard developed by Anthropic in late 2024, functions as a universal interface for AI to connect with and utilize software functions. Sedestral described the MCP as acting like a “USB-C for AI,” facilitating communication between AI assistants and external software.
Sedestral’s newly deployed MCP server provides AI assistants with both access to data and the capability to initiate tasks performed by its suite of SEO agents. This direct connection streamlines processes that previously required manual intervention.
The company’s agents are designed to handle a range of SEO functions directly from natural language commands within AI conversations. These include content creation via its Alya agent, optimization tasks handled by Rémi, and technical audits.
Additional capabilities include visibility monitoring and netlinking analysis, managed by the Maya agent. Sedestral stated that this comprehensive integration supports an entire workflow, from initial idea generation to publication on a content management system, all accessible through conversational AI.
Beyond external AI assistant integration, Sedestral also offers an embedded AI chat feature within its own platform. This internal chat provides users with access to the same agents and conversational modes, eliminating the need for users to connect their personal AI assistants.
The integration is expected to enhance efficiency for digital marketers and SEO professionals by reducing the time and effort required for routine and complex SEO operations.
