The digital platform reported a 400 percent increase in searches for ‘summer festival outfits,’ indicating a significant shift toward advance preparation for upcoming events.
Pinterest identified six key fashion aesthetics expected to dominate festivals in 2026: tropical maximalism, pirate style, effortless indie, Y2K pop, euphoric transparency, and a ‘grand drama’ aesthetic.
The company said in a statement that the collaboration with Le Touquet Music Beach Festival aims to enhance the festival experience by offering a dedicated outfit planning board, exclusive content, and creative challenges to attendees.
Data from Pinterest revealed a substantial surge in specific fashion interests, with searches for the ‘showgirl aesthetic’ rising by 945 percent.
Other notable increases in search queries included ‘pirate eye makeup,’ which saw a 330 percent jump, according to Pinterest.
Searches for ‘aerographed jeans’ increased by 75 percent, while ‘street style transparent skirts’ experienced a 60 percent rise.
The partnership with Le Touquet Music Beach Festival is intended to provide users with direct access to inspiration and tools for curating their festival looks well in advance of the event.
