Michael Johnson, CEO of Resolve, will host a free global webinar on October 21, 2026, to discuss effective link building strategies for artificial intelligence search visibility in 2027.
The online event, titled ‘The Link Building Graveyard: What to Bury & What Still Wins’, will address which tactics remain relevant and which have become outdated in the evolving search engine environment, including Google‘s AI Overviews and AI Mode.
Link building continues to be important for content discovery and evaluation by search engines, Johnson said. He noted that despite advancements in AI, traditional off-page campaigns still support rankings and AI visibility.
The webinar will use real campaign examples to illustrate which link building tactics marketers should retire and which continue to drive results. Johnson stated that attendees would learn to identify outdated approaches and apply new strategies to their brands for the upcoming year.
A March 2026 study by Ahrefs, a prominent SEO tool provider, reported that 37.1 percent of URLs cited in AI Overviews also ranked within the top 10 organic search results. This finding suggests the continued relevance of traditional search visibility metrics, even with the rise of AI-driven search features.
Industry expert Loren Baker, founder of Search Engine Journal, has previously emphasized the importance of adapting SEO strategies to keep pace with Google’s continuous updates, particularly those related to AI integration.
Resolve, an SEO and content marketing agency, aims to provide actionable insights for businesses managing the complexities of modern search engine optimization. The company indicated that the webinar would equip participants with the knowledge to refine their link building efforts effectively.
The webinar is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET and is open to a global audience interested in adapting their digital marketing strategies for future AI search environments.
