Google updated its Search Console Performance report on Oct. 6, allowing users to filter Google Search traffic data by multiple countries simultaneously, Google Search Central announced on LinkedIn.
This enhancement streamlines the analysis of search performance for businesses operating across several geographic regions, providing a consolidated view of traffic data.
Previously, the platform limited users to comparing data from only two countries at a time through a dedicated comparison feature.
The new functionality is accessible via a ‘Filter’ tab within the Country filter option, where users can select multiple desired countries using checkboxes.
Google Search Central indicated that the update also extends to device filters, though specific details regarding changes to device filtering were not provided in the announcement or accompanying screenshots.
According to Google, the change addresses a common need for more flexible data analysis among webmasters and SEO professionals.
The company’s help documentation currently still reflects the previous two-item comparison rule, which is expected to be updated at a later date to align with the new multi-country filtering capabilities.
