Global SEO software company Yoast launched an AI Content Planner for its Premium users today, designed to generate structured content drafts directly within the WordPress editor using existing site material.
The new feature aims to streamline the content creation process by transforming blank pages into outlined drafts, offering an efficiency boost for website administrators and content producers.
The AI Content Planner scans a user’s existing website content to propose five relevant post ideas, which appear within the WordPress editor, according to a company statement.
Upon selection of an idea, the Yoast tool automatically generates a comprehensive draft. This draft includes a suggested title, an H2 outline, a focus keyphrase, a meta description, and content notes to guide the user.
Yoast stated that the suggestions are highly site-specific, ensuring relevance by deriving ideas directly from the user’s published content and established site structure.
Users have the option to regenerate ideas once per session if the initial suggestions do not align with their current content strategy, the company reported.
The functionality of the AI Content Planner is dependent on the quantity of published content available on a user’s site. Yoast indicated that the tool provides a low-confidence warning if insufficient content exists to generate effective suggestions.
The integration of artificial intelligence into the Yoast SEO Premium offering marks an expansion of the company’s tools aimed at enhancing search engine optimization and content production workflows for its user base.
