Webflow expanded its integration with OpenAI, incorporating Codex and new ‘Skills’ to simplify website management through natural language prompts, the company announced.

The update builds on Webflow‘s existing integration with ChatGPT and aims to make AI-powered website tasks more accessible, allowing users to automate complex workflows without requiring API knowledge.

The new default ‘Skills’ enable Codex and ChatGPT to automatically select appropriate Webflow functions based on a user’s description of a desired task, according to Webflow.

These automated workflow categories include site audits, content management system (CMS) operations, pre-publish validation and various developer workflows.

Webflow stated that the ‘Skills’ can operate within the specific context of an actual Webflow site, engaging with its Collections, individual pages and overall structural elements.

The company emphasized that using these new ‘Skills’ does not consume AI credits for users.

Access to Codex through Webflow respects existing user permissions and is facilitated via the ChatGPT desktop application, utilizing a dedicated Webflow plugin, Webflow reported.

The integration is designed to make advanced website management more accessible to a broader range of users by translating natural language requests into actionable commands.
