AD, a French network of 2,300 automotive garages, is implementing a new local search engine optimization (SEO) strategy to overcome structural challenges and enhance visibility across its extensive national footprint.
The initiative focuses on distinguishing between local establishment pages and broader service-oriented content to better capture specific transactional search intent, according to company statements.
Company representatives indicated that the network faces internal cannibalization and inconsistencies in name, address, and phone (NAP) information, rather than merely issues of scale, when optimizing for local searches.
Effective multi-establishment SEO requires clear site architecture that differentiates between pages designed for local intent and those targeting more general transactional queries, AD reported.
Service pages, which address specific needs such as ‘shock absorber replacement cost,’ are identified as an important and often under-exploited lever for capturing precise transactional search intent.
High-performing service pages incorporate clear intention identification, practical information like pricing and service duration, and trust signals, the company said.
These trust signals include guarantees, evidence of expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T), and proofs such as customer reviews and photographs.
Consistency in Google Business Profile listings is also important for building trust signals across the entire AD network, according to the company.
The strategy also emphasizes the use of structured data, specifically Schema.org LocalBusiness markup, to provide search engines with consistent and easily parsable information about each garage.
Customer reviews play an important role in validating the quality of service and reinforcing the trust signals necessary for strong local SEO performance.
